Prismo® Safety Corporation was established in Huntington, PA, USA, specializing in reflective paint for signs and traffic markings. This marked the beginning of our long-standing commitment to innovation in road safety.

Prismo® introduces the first glass sphere for reflective road markings which marked a groundbreaking advancement in highway safety.

Saving lives with Lifeline

Prismo® introduces Lifeline, a groundbreaking reflective thermoplastic that set a new benchmark for road safety. As one of our earliest innovations, Lifeline achieved market-leading compliance with European standards and was the first to receive Kitemark approval to EN standards. Remarkably, it remains a cornerstone of our product lineup, still being manufactured and sold to this day.

Prismo® kicks off with bold innovations and establishes market leadership

During this period, we refined the durability and visibility of our road marking materials and introduced specialised reflective products like airfield markings, railroad crossings and traffic signs. Prismo® revolutionalise bridge expansion joints with the development of Thormajoint. It quickly became the industry standard and remains the most recognised name in bridge joint technology, even to this day.

Zebragrip sets new standards with BBA Type 1 approval

Prismo® launches the world’s first coloured thermoplastic, anti-skid surfacing approved for the heaviest traffic conditions.
